Sharing the Journey

In the end, she became more than what she expected.
She became the                     ,  and like all journeys,
she did not end, she just simply changed directions and kept going.

We have a desire to help support and bring together other creatives by building bonds, friendships, and a unique experience by Sharing the Journey! We want to walk alongside you, cheer you on, and help you be the              photographer you can be!

we are creatives.

about us

I am a boy momma, and married to my high school sweetheart. I have been in photography for 10 years, and love the places it has taken me and the people it has brought into my life. I have a degree in Interior Design from Kansas State University, but gave up the corporate life (and commuting) for photography after my first son was born. I have a passion for capturing motherhood and documenting all the small in-between moments.

I am a boy momma, married to my high school sweetheart, farm girl, registered nurse, prairie loving, big sky fanatic. I have been in photography for the past 10 years, but have always had a love for the art since I was very young. I have a passion to create storytelling images full of emotion and love.

i'm laura!

just like you.

I have been lucky enough to attend two Sharing The Journey Retreats and both have exceeded my expectations. Megan and Laura are gracious hosts and complete open books. They truly had our bests interests at heart and happily answered questions on any subject. If you are looking to elevate your photography business and build community, this is the retreat for you!

This retreat has given me so much confidence as a photographer. Both Megan Hein Photography and Elephant Juice Photography not only pour knowledge into you they pour their heart and soul into helping you become the best you can be! They become not only your teacher, but your true friend and support system!

-victoria

you really truly helped me and I feel like I am so much more efficient when I work now. I believe people get out of it what they put forth. Honestly I will totally look forward to attending another one!

Sharing the journey retreat was a game changer for both me and my business. I learned how to become a storyteller instead of a posed portrait photographer. I also learned editing can be easy and beautiful.

This was my first big investment into my business and I couldn't be happier. besides meeting some amazing photographers, i left with a lot more. Forgetting perfection and embracing the story. This is the perfect hands-on retreat!

The retreat was awesome! from meeting amazing people who share the same passion to learning so much from megan and laura! It's amazing how they are open books and really teach and mentor you every step of the way!

ShARING THE JOURNEY RETREAT WAS HUGE FOR ME! THIS WAS MY FIRST RETREAT AND INVESTMENT IN MYSELF. THIS RETREAT WAS WAY MORE THAN A LEARNING EXPERIENCE. I MADE LIFE LONG FRIENDS WHO BUILD YOU UP AND SUPPORT YOU IN YOUR PASSIONS! MEGAN AND LAURA WERE AMAZING AS THEY SHOWED US GRACIOUSLY HOW THEY WORK WHILE STILL GIVING US ROOM TO DO SO OURSELVES.
